The FRAAS Plaid - A pattern with history

Trends come and go – genuine classics are always up to date. The best example of this is our special FRAAS plaid pattern, a distinctive woven check with black and white stripes with a single coloured line running through. Since early in the 20th century this pattern has turned up in the most diverse FRAAS textiles, starting with pure wool scarves, then on the finest cashmere, and since 1985 also on our Cashmink®. Born in Upper Franconia, a region with one of richest textile traditions in Europe, our local house plaid is now at home throughout the world.

Criss-Cross Through Every Style

The secret to success is versatility. Alternating base colors, such as unpretentious gray, tender rose or the typical camel beige, different pattern sizes from modest to gigantic, as a lightweight wrap or a fleecy scarf, our FRAAS plaid cuts a fine figure in all of its various forms. This classic pattern adds the perfect touch to every outfit – whether casual or elegant, with a trench coat or a leather jacket. Diversity is key, but one thing is for sure - You’ll be wearing the original with a plaid scarf from FRAAS.
